A white woman is facing an assault charge after video showed her attacking a 13-year-old Black girl at a park in Frisco, Texas, according to the child’s mother, who has been posting updates as the case gains attention online.
The footage, shared by the young girl's mother, Krystal Randolph, shows an adult white woman stepping toward the teen during an argument near a school-adjacent park. In the video, the girl tells the woman, “Watch your child,” after accusing the woman’s son of using profanity and threatening to shoot her.
Moments later, the woman can be heard saying, “Girlfriend, back up. You wanna bring it?” before pushing into the girl and grabbing at her as the teen yells for her to get off. The video was widely reposted this week and later reported on by Atlanta Black Star.
Randolph said on Facebook that the woman’s son, whom she described as 8 years old, had threatened to “shoot” her daughter before the confrontation escalated. She initially wrote that the woman had been arrested, but later posted a correction saying the woman was not arrested and instead had been charged with assault and will have to appear before a judge.
Randolph added that an officer told her the charge could potentially be enhanced because the alleged victim is a minor and the incident happened at a school-adjacent location. Those details appear to come from Randolph’s account and have not been independently confirmed through a public police statement.
The video itself has driven much of the public reaction. It shows at least one other adult nearby as the argument unfolds, and after the physical contact, the teen can be heard calling her mother and saying, “Hi mama, there is a woman over here who just put her hands on me.” The woman then insists she did not start the altercation, saying, “No, no, no! Every person knows you touched me first.”
Randolph has said she wants the case pursued fully. In one Facebook post, she wrote, “Today my child was assaulted by a 45-year-old white woman after her son threatened to shoot my child in the face,” adding that the woman targeted her daughter instead of correcting her son.
