Darryl M. Bell and Kadeem Hardison are revisiting the beloved sitcom A Different World with a new rewatch podcast that explores the show's legacy and features conversations with familiar faces from Hillman College.

iHeartMedia and Charlamagne Tha God's Black Effect Podcast Network announced Thursday (October 8) that Bell and Hardison will host A Different World View with Darryl & Kadeem.

The podcast premieres on Thursday (October 15) with new episodes releasing weekly on the iHeartRadio app and other podcast platforms.

Bell and Hardison, who played Ron Johnson and Dwayne Wayne, respectively, on the original series, will rewatch episodes, share behind-the-scenes stories, and discuss the show's lasting influence on Black culture.

The podcast arrives as A Different World returns to television through Netflix's sequel series. The series follows Deborah Wayne (Maleah Joi Moon), the daughter of Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert (Jasmine Guy), as she begins her first year at the fictional historically Black college.

The podcast will also feature conversations about entertainment, pop culture, and sports, as well as the Netflix sequel and its cast.

Debbie Allen, who produced and directed the original series and returned for the Netflix sequel, will appear as the podcast's first guest. The trio will revisit Allen's arrival on the sitcom during its second season and discuss her role in shaping the show.

“I am beyond excited to finally launch the ‘A Different World View with Darryl and Kadeem’ podcast,” Bell said in a statement. “Kadeem and I have only wanted to do this for over 25 years, and the time is now!”

Hardison added, “I've been talking to this guy for 40 years. I'm so glad you all get to see what I've been dealing with.”
