TMCF President Inducted Into National Black College Alumni Hall Of Fame

Dr. Harry L. Williams, president and CEO of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), has been inducted into the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame as a recipient of the Chairman’s Award.

Williams was one of 13 inductees recognized during the organization’s 41st annual induction ceremony in Atlanta. He shared the Chairman’s Award category with Dr. Cheryl McKissack Daniel.

The recognition honors Williams’ work supporting historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and expanding educational opportunities for students.

Before leading TMCF, Williams served as president of Delaware State University. Throughout his career, he has worked to secure resources for HBCU students and strengthen pathways to higher education.

“Standing in a room filled with dedicated alumni, educators and leaders who pour tirelessly into our historically Black colleges and universities is a powerful reminder of why this work matters,” Williams said. “We honor our legacy by continuing to open doors for the next generation of Black excellence.”

Williams also thanked the foundation, his colleagues and the institutions supporting TMCF’s work.

“Thank you to the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation, Inc. leadership and board for this recognition, to the entire Thurgood Marshall College Fund team, and our member schools and supporters who make our shared mission possible every day.”
